Ad industry content and marketing veteran to support program management across membership, event management, marketing strategy for media measurement coalition

NEW YORK, NY (January 5, 2023) – The Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement (CIMM), a US-based collaboration of companies focused on promoting innovation in media measurement, metrics and data, today announced the appointment of Tameka Kee as Deputy Managing Director.

Kee joins CIMM with nearly two decades of ad industry experience that spans events, marketing, communications, and content strategy across previous roles including: Head of Content Strategy at AdMonsters; VP, Content & Strategy at Wise Public Relations; and Director, Marketing and Content Strategy at The Rubicon Project (now Magnite). She most recently led all marketing and advertising initiatives as Director of Marketing & Communications at Black Innovation Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a more inclusive and supportive ecosystem for Black entrepreneurs.

In this newly created position, Kee will play a central role in supporting CIMM’s program, under Managing Director Jon Watts, including membership engagement and consultation, event programming, marketing strategy, and more.

“Over the last year, there have been significant advancements in measurement and currency development, which is hugely encouraging. We’ve expanded our mission and our membership base to embrace a wider remit, encompassing the data enablement of television, new developments in CTV, streaming and programmatic, addressable advertising, new metrics like attention, clean rooms and data infrastructure, and other issues,” said Jon Watts. “We’ve also expanded our membership and dramatically expanded our program, to support our members and the wider industry. To continue this momentum in 2023, Tameka is coming onboard, bringing an impressive track record of program leadership across content, marketing and events, and stakeholder management in ad tech. I am confident that she will play a crucial role in supporting CIMM as we continue to grow and develop our program.”

Earlier in her career, Kee founded TJK Media, a content marketing agency that developed campaigns and events for clients such as: eMarketer, Rubicon Project, Lotame, Fyber, Adcolony/Opera Mediaworks and TechMedia. Before launching TJK Media, she served as a reporter and analyst for industry trades like mediabistro, Digiday, and MediaPost.

“I began my career in the research division of a media agency, so I think it’s apropos that I’ve joined CIMM — an organization dedicated to research that uncovers what’s working, what’s not and what some of the possibilities are as it pertains to media measurement,” said Kee. “I’m looking forward to working with Jon, our members and industry partners to develop meaningful programs and initiatives that have a lasting impact.”

About CIMM

The Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement (CIMM) is comprised of leading TV and video content providers, media buying agencies, large advertisers, pay TV distributors, research and media technology vendors and consultants that aim to promote innovation and foster efficiencies in audience measurement for television and cross-platform video. In 2018, CIMM was acquired by the ARF (Advertising Research Foundation), with the goal of expanding the categories of members as well as its initiatives. CIMM initiatives to date have included exploration and identification of new methodologies in cross-platform audience measurement, with verification of these approaches through pilot tests and studies conducted with independent measurement companies. CIMM’s focus has been on two key areas: the current and future potential of television measurement through the use of return-path data, and new methods for cross-platform media measurement.
