CIMM DEFINITION: Media optimization involves the use of models that require the input of media audience and cost data for all qualified measured media vehicles, and the input of the brand’s requirements in terms of budget, target audience, reach / frequency, and other factors. The models typically involve a complex set of equations which considers all of this input, and outputs one or more “best schedules” within the pre-determined budget and timing constraints.
